Три «Золотых глобуса» получила драма «Выживший»: «Лучший фильм: драма», Леонардо ДиКаприо удостоился приза за лучшую мужскую роль, а Иньярриту победил в номинации «Лучший режиссер»
Два приза взял биографический фильм «Стив Джобс», Кейт Уинслет — «Лучшая актриса второго плана в драме». Фильм «Марсианин» победил в номинации «Лучший мюзикл или комедия», Мэтту Дэймону досталась статуэтка за его актерскую работу. «Лучший актёр второго плана в драме» стал Сильвестр Сталлоне за роль в фильме «Крид: Наследие Рокки».
